WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2014.

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got lots of lovely presents and ate loads of amazing food! I had a lovely Christmas spending the majority of it relaxing with all my family and watching lots of films. Its sad that we wait all year for Christmas.... we see all the Christmas chocolates coming out in the supermarkets in October and then when it approaches December we all put our Christmas tree's up and get super excited just waiting for Christmas day! And then within a few hours it's all over for another year. But we LOVE Christmas! It's a time to just forget about everything else and just spend time with your loved ones and family and really embrace the spirit                                                                                   of Christmas! 

I don't know about anyone else but my favourite Blog post's and YouTube videos at the moment have to be 'What I got for Christmas'. I love seeing what everyone had for Christmas and it always gives me ideas of things I would like to get maybe in the January sales but also because lets face it im just nosey about everyone else's life and Christmas! ;) So... I thought seen as it's my favourite maybe some of you would like to see What I had for Christmas:) This is just a small disclaimer but I am by no means bragging about how much or what I got its just for anyone who is interested.                                                    Acer Iconia Tablet.
This was my main present from my mum and I love it! It is to help me with my lecture notes in Uni so that I have all of my class notes organised. I was definitely not expecting this and I am so grateful. I have loaded lots of books on my kindle and it is perfect for me!

                                               Reading books, Diary and notebook.

 I read the Shopaholic series years ago and I loved them so much so when they came out with the new one 'Shopaholic to the stars' my mum immediately bought it. My mum also met Keith Lemon in Manchester at a book signing and she had a copy of his autobiography signed for me. I was so excited to see it, I wish I had been able to meet him though. I also had a lovely little notebook off my Auntie which is going to be perfect for the New Year to write all my Blog post ideas in. 

    Hair and Bath Products. 

My Brothers girlfriend got my this Mark Hill's 'BIG IT UP' gift set and I am so grateful. I used them the day after  Christmas and they made my fair feel so soft and voluminous it was amazing. I will definitely be posting a review on them in the new year. Also off family I had two of my favourite Soap and Glory products, CLEAN ON ME shower Gel and also THE BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE body scrub. I can not wait to have a pamper evening with them both. :)

Perfume.

I had two beautiful perfumes of my mum for Christmas the Thierry Mugler 'Angel' which smells so light and sweet its lovely for a day time perfume and then for a night time fragrance I had Miss Selfridge 'ETOILE' which is a gorgeous musky smell perfect for night time. 

                                               
                                                    Laptop Case and Selfie stick. 

I also had this beautiful Laptop Case for me to use when carrying my Laptop back and forth on the train and also the amazing SELFIE STICK! It's such a joke present but it really annoys me when you take a picture and you can see your arm in the middle haha! So now I can take some really good selfies! ;) 

                                                                             
                                                                       Slippers.

Its always a sort of tradition for me on Christmas to get slippers and this year I got two pairs! I had the "Ugg" type slippers off my boyfriend because I bought him some last Christmas so he wanted us to be matching... so cute! ;) I also had the other multi colours one from my grandma from Matalan which I absolutely love they are my     favourite colours! 

My other main present was these beautiful Ugg boots from my Grandpa. I have wanted a pair of real ones for ages and this year I finally got some! I love them so much they are so warm and cosy. I am so grateful to my Grandpa. Thank you! 

                                               Leggings and Jeggings. 

Off my mum I had these two lovely pair of Tartan leggings and my boyfriend bought me these blue skinny jeans. 

                                                                     

  Jumpers.

I had lots of lovely jumpers there's this striped one from New Look, this oak brown one from Warehouse, this grey zipped sweater from River Island and this cream Cable knit one from Miss Selfridge. I love them all so much and can not wait to wear them. 

Scarves and Hat.

I had this lovely Tartan scarf off my boyfriend from New Look which I wear with everything. I also had this beautiful cream scarf and matching bobble hat off my mum from Zara which I also love. 

       
                                                       Fur Gilet. 

My last present was this stunning brown fur Gilet from Zara, I absolutely adore it! It goes with everything I have in my wardrobe and makes any outfit look classy and sophisticated.

TMI (Too much Information) Tag!

1. What are you wearing? I am doing this blog very late so I am wearing my purple Varsity baseball top and my grey and white polka dot pyjamas.

2.Ever been in love? Yes, I am right now haha! 

3. Ever had a terrible break up? Yes, but luckily only one.

4. How tall are you? 5ft 8

5. How much do you weigh? Let's just say I would like to weigh a bit less.

6. Any tattoos? Nope

7. Any piercings? Just my earlobes. Used to have my belly button but it closed up.

8. One True Pairing? Tiffany and Justin from Waterloo Road. OMG soooo cute!!! 

9. Favourite TV programme? Vampire diaries, the originals and Big Bang Theory, Oh and Hollyoaks of course! 

10. Favourite Band? Don't really like any bands but umm just say Imagine Dragons.

11. Something you miss? My Dad :( 

12. Favourite song? At the moment it would have to be Wings by Birdy. Such an inspirational song. Love it! 

13. How old are you? Nineteen

14. Zodiac Sign? Cancer

15. Quality you look for in a partner? Kind, caring and funny

16. Favourite Quote? I love so many but my favourite has to be "Our greatest Weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."

17. Favourite actor? Liam Neeson! He makes every film he is in Amazing. 

18. Favourite Colour? 100% PINK!

19. Loud Music or Soft? Depends really. If I'm going out then it has to be loud but if I'm in my room just chilling out I like quite soft music. 

20. Where do you go when your sad? To my mum, grandma or boyfriend.

21.How long does it take you to shower? If I'm washing my hair then about 25-30 minutes and if I'm not then around 10 minutes.

22. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Again if I'm washing my hair then about an hour and a half and if I'm not then about half an hour to 40 minutes.

23. Ever been in a physical fight? No

24.Turn on? Sense of humour and caring.

25. Turn off? Selfish and arrogant.

26. The reason I joined YouTube? I haven't plucked up the courage to do so yet but I would really like to in the future. 

27. Fears? My top 3 are spiders, being trapped and planes.

28. Last thing that made you cry? I had an argument with my mum last week and it made me really upset because I hate arguing with her. 

29. Last time you said you loved someone? About an hour ago to my boyfriend. 

30. Meaning behind you Youtube/Blogger name? Well my first name is Aliix and my surname is Stephenson but I thought it was too long so I used my middle name Leigh and now it's gone quite catchy.

34. Last person you talked to? My boyfriend.

38. Last place you were? I went into my local town with my boyfriend earlier today to do some Christmas shopping and go out for lunch. I had this amazing orange Hot chocolate from Costa. Its honestly my favourite drink at the moment!

41. Last time you were insulted? Can't remember actually.

42.Favourite flavour of sweet? Cola or Strawberry.

43. What instruments can you play? I used to play Piano when I was younger but I quit and forgot how to play.

I have really been enjoying wearing Dark purple and bright red lipstick this month. I think it makes any make-up stand out and look glamorous.

Hair Products.

                The Hair Products I have really been loving this month are:          

 Pro:voke Touch of Silver- I had my hair coloured last month  with bleach and this shampoo has really helped to get rid of  any brassiness or yellow, leaving it a lovely white blonde. I use  it three times a week when I wash my hair and leave it on for  2-3   minutes before rinsing it out.

V05 Miracle Concentrate- Since I had my hair bleached, it has been looking and feeling pretty dry once it is blow dried and styled. So I have been using this serum on the mid lengths of my hair by pumping a pea sized amount onto the palm of my hand and rubbing it all through the ends of my hair. It has been leaving my hair looking very silky and smooth and also giving it a very sleek look.

Andrew Barton The Ultimate Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner- Since I am now blonde I have really wanted to preserve the colour for as long as possible and this shampoo has kept my hair very hydrated and silky and also kept the colour shiny.

Skin Care.

         E45 Lotion-  I have really been enjoying this skin care routine this month. Earlier last month I suffered an allergic reaction to my cleanser and it made my skin incredibly dry. I was recommended to use E45 Lotion and since then I have been using it every day morning and night and my skin has completely recovered leaving it so soft and moisturised.

Estee Lauder Take It Away- As well as using my Make-up remover I have loved using this Estee Lauder make-up remover. It gets rid of every last scrap of make-up that my cleanser might have missed and is very gentle on the skin.

Clean and Clear Morning Energy Facial Wash- I have been using this all through out November and it has really kept any breakouts under control and helped to reduce blackheads as well leaving a more clear and bright complexion on my skin. 

Random.

The past couple of months I have really got into baking cupcakes and cakes. I think since I moved to university and my flat is full of 8 girls we just seem to find ourselves baking all the time and making the cakes look really pretty and yummy. Not the healthiest of hobbies to have though haha! :P

The Winter Tag!

Hello everyone! So since Christmas is so near! ahh exciting!! I thought I would do the winter tag! Hope you enjoy lovelies! xx

Top Two Winter Beauty Essentials:

The first two that come into my head would be a good red lipstick 01 and Mac Ruby woo and also a highlighter like my sleek contour kit or Mac's Soft and Gentle to get rid of a dull complexion in the winter adding a lovely glow to the 
                                 skin. 


Top Two Winter Fashion Essentials: I think it would be my Ugg boots and my big cosy fluffy jumpers. 

  

What shoes do you tend to wear the most in the winter: 
100% ugg boots! I love them so much they are so warm and cosy I literally live in them.          

Favourite Winter Accessory : Big chunky long scarves that keep me so warm and toasty and look so cute over shirts and jumpers.

Favourite Winter Nail Polish: Either a dark red, purple, burgundy or a glitter polish in gold or silver. 

Hot chocolate or Apple cider:
 Definitely Hot Chocolate especially Costa's Orange hot chocolate with whipped cream and a flake mmmm....

      
Favourite Winter Candles: 
I'm in university and we are not allowed to burn candles in our room, but at home I light them all the time! My favourite would be Yankee Candle's Snow Flake Cookie. It smells so yummy and delicious.

Snowboarding or Skiing: 
I have only been Skiing once and I really didn't like it but I would love to try snow boarding.

     

Have you ever been Ice skating? Are you any good or did you FAIL  miserably: 
I used to go every Saturday morning when I was little with my Dad to classes and I got really good at it  but I haven't been for years. I  really miss it actually. 

Does it snow where you live: 
Yes but very rarely at Christmas mostly in March and April.

Have you ever made a snowman:
Yes, all the time when I was little. 

What Holiday do you celebrate: 
Christmas eve, Christmas day, New Years eve and New Years day.

Favourite Christmas Song: 
Ummm probably 'Do they know it's Christmas by Band aid.

Favourite Christmas Movie:
Either the Santa Claus movies or the Holiday with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law. It's just an all around feel good film!

Favourite Winter treat: 
Chocolate Yule log.. yummy!

If you were to ask Santa for one thing and you were guaranteed to get it, what 
would it be:
Ermm.. probably to do well in my degree but if it was for an object I would say....loads and loads of make-up! :P

Do you have anything planned this Winter:
Not really any plans just spending Christmas with my family and enjoying my three weeks off spending time with friends and family.

What's In My Make-up Bag!

                            

                 This is my what is  in my Make-up Bag Tag. There is a lot of products

                  but I am always travelling back and forth from University so I like

                       to be prepared for any occasion. Hope you enjoy lovelies! xx

 This is my Make-up Bag which I use everyday it is an utter 

                                           lifesaver.( From John Lewis) last Christmas.

             The first thing I put on my face is my moisturiser which is Garnier Moisture 

              Match  Revitalising Hydrating Gel for dull skin. The next thing I use is

              primer which is Estee Lauder's Matte Perfecting Primer.The foundation I 

              use and absolutely love is Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Make-up 

              in 2C3 Fresco.My concealer is Collection Lasting  Perfection in Cool Medium 

              and my under eye Brightener is Collection Illuminating Touch Brightening 

                                                           Concealer in Natural 2.  

             I use Sleek's Brow Kit in Light on my eyebrows and then use HD Brows 

             Eye smoothing Serum to smooth the little tiny hairs all  down. I use Mac's 

             Paint pot in Bare Study as my Eye-shadow Base, MUA's eye-shadow palettes 

             in Hall of Fame and Undress me too and also my holy grail Quad eye palette 

             which is by Flomar which is from a small Make-up shop in Gibraltar. I line

             my eyes using Maybeline Master Drama Kohl Liner in Ultra Black and I use 

             both Rimmel London Wonderful Mascara and Maybeline The Falsies 

             Volume express. Quite often I wear False Lashes as well which is kind of

              my secret obsession! My favourites are Ardell 117's and Wispies and also 

              Eyelure Naturalites super Full and I use DUO Eyelash glue to 

                                                               stick them on. 

             I use Benefit's Hoola bronzer to contour and Sleek's Contour and Blush
             Palette in medium to Highlight. My Three Favourite Blushers at the moment
             are Sleek Rose Gold, Rimmel 010 Santa Rose and Collection's Blush in
                                                                 Trouble.

               To set all of my face Make-up I use either one of two powders which are
               Maybeline Super Stay 24H Waterproof Powder in 10 Ivory and Mac
               Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NW25, I tend to use the Maybeline one
               during the day and the Mac one during night's out but they both
                                              last all day with no problems!

           
           I use the Bubblegum Lip Scrub from Lush and then Cherry Carmex Lipbalm
          every morning to exfoliate them and prepare them. The two lip stick
          combinations which I have been loving so much recently are Mac's Brick Lip
          Pencil, Mac's Lipstick in Viva Glam Rhianna with the Viva glam Rhianna
          Lipglass on top. The second combination I have been loving is Mac's Lipstick
                    in Honey and Revlon Colour burst Matte Balm in 230 Complex.

Mac Tag!

 I've seen lots of these different tags going around and thought it looked    like fun to do for my first post. Hope you enjoy lovelies! xx

         How long have you been using Mac make-up for?

I would say I have been using Mac make-up for about five  years now. For my 16th Birthday I decided that all I wanted was Mac Make-up and I had so much fun getting my make up done by the Make-up artist and watching her do every single step trying to memorise it all.

 What was your first Mac purchase?

ooooh now that's a tough one! I'm not completely sure but I think it was Mac lipstick in Pretty please and also the blusher in Dainty. I was only just starting out with make-up so I stuck to very natural and pink shades. 

What is your all time favourite product?

 I would have to say their lipsticks they are just lovely! I think my absolute favourite lipstick shade though would be Japanese Maple or Rebel. I wear them all the time.

What is your worst product?

I think the most disappointing product I have bought from Mac would be their Mascaras! I just can never seem to get on with them the only exception being Zoom Lash though. 

 Do you have a Mac Pro card?

No I don't but I wish I did! I would buy so much and have a whole collection worth of products!

Your Mac Foundation Shade?

I currently use the shade NW25 in Studio Fix Fluid but in the summer when I am tanned I will use NC25 which is a more warmer shade.

Favourite Eye-shadow? 

To be honest I haven't tried many Mac eye-shadows but out of the few I have tried I'd have to say my favourite would be all that glitters or Naked Lunch. You can create a really beautiful natural eye look with just them on their own!
 Favourite Lipstick?

I have lots of Mac Lipsticks its grown to be quite an obsession really! My all time favourite 5 though would be Japanese Maple, Rebel, Show Orchid, Russian Red and Hugh. They are just all time staples in my Make-up bag.

 Favourite Lip gloss?

My favourite would be Florabundance Lipglass and VIVA GLAM Rhianna. They make any lip look just pop and look amazing! 

Favourite eye liner?

My Holy Grail eye liner would be Power-surge I don't know exactly what it is about it but it makes my eyes which are blue/green just completely pop and look gorgeous.

       Have you used the following Mac products and if so what did you think?

Prep and Prime skin- I have used this once before it made a nice base for my make-up but it was nothing special other primers I have used were much better for the price. 

Studio Sculpt Foundation- I used to absolutely swear by this product until recently. It is a lovely foundation that has medium build-able coverage which doesn't look cakey at all.However recently I have found it has a bit to thick of consistency for my skin and I much prefer Studio Fix fluid which is a liquid foundation and a lot less thick.

Mineralize Satin Finish- I have never tried this but I know lots of people that swore by it and were gutted when it was discontinued.

Studio Fix Fluid- This is in my opinion the best Mac foundation ever!! It gives a lovely coverage which lasts all day long! 

Studio Tech Foundation- I have only used this once and I really didn't get on with it. It made my skin very patchy and oily looking and it also came off my skin very quick. I would be touching up all day! 

Studio Fix Powder- I have bought so many of these!! It is a great powder which keeps me matte and shine free all day without having to touch up at all.

Mineralize Skin Finish- I have only ever tried one of these and that would be Soft and Gentle and I love it! The pink tones give a lovely sheen to the tops of the cheek bones which still looks natural.

Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - This too used to be my Holy grail product until I recently discovered Studio Fix Powder. It gives a lovely sheen to the skin whilst still keeping the skin shine free.
